Can You Actually Show Me, Right Now, How I Can Find Rest in God?

ANSWER:

Rest is not in the Sabbath, it is in God. Rest is a prevailing quality of His completeness. “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” -Genesis 2:3.

The Sabbath was not a source of rest for God; He was the source of rest for the Sabbath. “And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.” -Revelation 4:6. God’s throne has a sea of glass before it… A sea of glass without wave’s or ripples; a symbol of the IMPERTURABLE calm of God.

Isaiah 40:28, “the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired…” His rest is when He has completed and made Holy/Sanctified a creation of His.

We are His creation made complete and whole in Christ Jesus by His death on the cross when He cried, “it is finished.” (John 19:30 KJV) God worked and completed redemption through Jesus.

The rest of God is not merely with the sense of being rebuilt or rejuvenated, which we obviously need. “The rest we seek is an exchange of our nervous energy for God’s, through which is filled with divine presence and the all-sufficiency of Christ himself.”
