What is Temperament, Character, and Personality; and why should it matter to me? Part 2: Character

Character is the next subject on the list as I have covered Temperament last week.
Since Temperament is the first foundational building block designed by God as revealed in Psalm 139:13, “For thou hast possessed my reins: Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb”; the next area being Character is the second building block to understand. Understanding Character means relationships will begin to improve and most importantly our walk with God will become more real and fulfilling.
So, What is Character? Character combines Temperament and environment. We are created by God to express His life as stated in Matthew 5:13 -14, “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.”
As we grow in Christ by praying, reading Scripture, attending church, giving of our time and resources to support God’s work, our lives become an expression and extension of God’s love. Therefore, to review, Temperament is our core-self designed by God (no mistakes) and we live that life out through and by living authentically and honestly in all relationships.
Ephesians 4:25 “Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.”
As we are honest and authentic in all relationships, God makes known to us His unique design for us as.
