Do you know of some who gave up too soon?
Maybe they were trying to get a job, but gave up. Maybe they wanted to become rehabilitated from an addiction, but they didn’t follow through. Maybe they didn’t want to go through with the divorce that was filed, but they didn’t try hard enough to stop it. Maybe they wanted to better that credit score to buy a house, but they just were not motivated enough to focus on it completely.
Giving up when the goal could have been completed with a little more effort.
We all have given up too soon at certain times in our life.
I had the privilege of work with a very special person who was my Office Manager. She was handicapped and in chronic pain. Many days she would come to work in so much paid she had trouble concentrating; however, she never gave up. She strove to honor God with her life because He was her life. She was an inspiration to all. On June 4, 1997, she went to her home in heaven. When I visited her home, I saw a plaque on the wall entitled:
“Don’t Quit”
When thing go wrong as they sometime will,
when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is strange with its twist and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds no doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worst,
That you must not quit.

No matter what you are facing or going through, don’t give up because God is on your side.
Romans 8:31 “What shall we then say to these things? Any problem, fear or Circumstance in your life; if God be for us, who can be against us?”
God is for you so don’t give up!
