God’s Answer!
Rejection, we have all experienced its stinging pain. Rejection can leave feelings of hurt, anger, disappointment and loneliness. However, God’s cure for this relational pain is uniquely simple.
Rejection strikes at the core of what we need, which is love. God created us with a God-like vacuum in which only His love can fulfill. Therefore, it stands to reason that God has a cure for rejection.
Before I reveal God’s cure for rejection, let’s look at some contributing factors to rejection. This list is not exhaustive and is as follows: low-self worth, temperament, imbalances, weaknesses, approval addiction and other addictions to name a few.
Let’s examine low-self worth. Self-worth is our value we place upon ourselves. When we were born, we depended upon others to validate us. If that validation is low, our estimate of ourselves is, also, low. Our self-worth is tied to performance in a similar manner. Poor performance can and does lead to low-self worth. Where does it leave us? Experiencing more feelings of low-self worth which can and does lead to more rejection. How is low-self worth linked to rejection? It’s simple.
Low-self worth leads to feelings and beliefs of inferiority which inhibits a person from experiencing the fullness in life. Therefore, rejection in relationships is inevitable. So, what is God’s cure for this common struggle? The answer is a healthy self-worth. Self-worth is the internal experience and beliefs of my own value and worth in Christ Jesus. It is generated from God, through His Spirit, revealing to each Believer his or her own value and worth. Moreover, it comes from the inside instead of performance based and the opinion of others.
John 14:26 states, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
Notice one of the functions of the Holy Spirit-teaching. The Holy Spirit teaches us who we are in Christ Jesus which in turn reveals our Divine destiny. Therefore, the answer to rejection is found in the Holy Spirit revealing the worth of each Believer all based upon the amazing love of God.
Friends, allow God, through His Holy Spirit to reveal to you His acceptance as your cure for rejection. In so doing, rejection’s grip will begin to release you to your Divine destiny.
